Member's Mark™ Advanced Eye Health Minigels contain Vitamins C and E, Lutein, Zeaxanthin , Zinc, and Copper. This formula includes Copper, as increased Zinc supplementation can decrease the body’s ability to absorb Copper. Lutein and Zeaxanthin are carotenoids found in vegetables and fruits; together with Vitamins C and E, and Zinc, they may protect cells against the effects of free radicals and may help support healthy eyes and vision.*
This formulation is comparable to PreserVision® AREDS 2 Formula Minigels** in that it provides antioxidants like Lutein and Zeaxanthin from marigold extract, as well as other key nutrients like Zinc, Copper, and Vitamins C and E. It is designed to provide an easy-to-swallow minigel form of supplementation for those who find capsules or tablets difficult to take. Adults should take one minigel twice daily with food as a dietary supplement.

Description
Lutein and Zeaxanthin are natural pigments also known as “carotenoids,” fat-soluble antioxidants found in fruits, vegetables and plants, including marigolds and sunflowers. Antioxidants protect the body from cellular and tissue damage caused by harmful molecules called free radicals, which cause a “biological rusting” (oxidation) and may
enhance the negative effects of aging. The retina (or “macula”) is a light-sensitive tissue that lines the inner surface of the eye. The macula contains the highest concentration of Lutein and Zeaxanthin. In the healthy body, Lutein and Zeaxanthin are naturally present in a 5:1 ratio. Research has shown that adding Lutein and Zeaxanthin to a healthy diet may support eye health and overall vision health.*
